Do As Infinity (Tomiko Van)

Hidden by the darkness of the night,
We flew low --
The moon knew nothing
As the engine gave a dull roar.

Who is living there
And laughing together?
What dreams are being born
And nurtured there?

Tonight we'll fly
The flag of justice
In another town
Whose name we can't even read on the map...

A roaring flame
Shoots straight down,
Burning up every living creature --
We lift the nose as planned,
Close the ammunition bunker,
And do a victory loop.

We see nothing, we hear nothing,
Nothing, nothing,
Nothing, nothing...

A humble spray of fireworks shoots up,
Like a celebration --
We take in the anger, the grief, the regret,
And the hate.

A light,
Brighter than the morning sun
Suddenly
Shatters the glass...

Every living creature
Sheds the same deep red blood
From their chests --
I grip the controls weakly.
Even if I were to look back and scream,
Nobody would answer.

In the distance the moon blurs and disappears,
And my mother, and my father,
And my friends, and you...

If we'd been born in a different country,
Then we could live without seeing
This desert dawn --
A night hawk gets lost in the dawn sky, [1]
And can't find its way back,
And becomes a shooting star...

Every living creature
Nurtures a life
With the same deep red blood --
No matter what "justice" we hold up,
We can't stop that deep red blood
From being shed.

I dreamed a long dream,
A long dream,
A long dream...
